PAWS volunteers will meet on Thursday, January 27th at 6:30 pm in the Park & Rec Boardroom. Anyone who wants the help with dogs and cats currently held in the Lumpkin County Animal Shelter is encouraged to attend the meeting. We offer many different ways to get involved.
Tuesday, December 14, the Noteworthy Show Band of the South will play Christmas music at the Holly. This 40′s – 50′s swing band will provide wonderful music with some vocals thrown in. Plan on a most entertaining evening!
Dr. Mills, DVM, Thompson Creek Animal Hospital, Dawsonville, plays in the band. He contacted PAWS President Dan Bowers with a very interesting proposition. A silent benefactor will make a contribution to PAWS based on the number of tickets sold for the show. With approximately 280 seats available, this will be a great opportunity.
PAWS funds and efforts are necessary for many shelter animals to have a future. Please, encourage your friends and family to purchase tickets:
Ticket price is $15.00.
Show time is 8 pm December 14.
The Holly basement box office is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm.
