In 1831, Alexis de Toqueville, a French historian and politician, visited the United States. Officially he came to study the American penal system, but his real interest was America herself. After returning to France, he wrote a two volume work entitled Democracy in America. In it he wrote:
“I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her commodious harbors and her ample rivers – and it was not there . . . in her fertile fields and boundless forests and it was not there . . . in her democratic Congress and her matchless Constitution – and it was not there. Not until I went into the churches of America and heard her pulpits aflame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power. America is great because she is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, she will cease to be great.”
America is the greatest nation on earth, but for how much longer? The foundations appear to be crumbling. We see the evidence: 60 million unborn babies killed in the womb; homosexuality legitimized; Christianity under attack; God expelled from the public square. The list keeps expanding. Toqueville warned, “If America ever ceases to be good, she will cease to be great.” God said, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” (Galatians 6:7).
Our nation is at a critical stage. Either we reverse course and the citizenry demand morality in their governments AND themselves so that the greatness of America is preserved, or we continue down the path we are currently on and watch the America we know and love disappear.
The United States will elect a new executive this year. As the Presidency has grown far beyond Constitutional limitations, whoever holds the office has a great influence on public policy. Does it not behoove us to elect a moral leader who can begin to turn the ship of state around? We know that God is in control of His creation. We know that He “. . . removeth kings and setteth up kings . . .” (Daniel 2:21). We also know that for our form of government to work, citizens need to be informed and involved.
The next President will most likely appoint three or four new Supreme Court justices. These new justices need to be strict Constitutionalists who understand the original intent of the framers and will rule accordingly. If activists are appointed to the court, the Constitution will be relegated to the ash heap of history.
Mankind thrives when God blesses his people. Prosperity follows morality, not vice-versa. In Psalm 33:12, we read “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” Nature abhors a vacuum. This is true in both the physical and spiritual universe. If we remove God from public life, something will fill the void and the nation will suffer as a result.
We believe in Constitutional government, Biblical values and the God-given right of every citizen to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness as embodied in the Declaration of Independence. We want a President who embraces these same values. We want a man who says what he means and means what he says. We believe that Ted Cruz is such a man. To quote him: “Our nation’s founding document and the supreme law of the land was crafted by our founding fathers to act as chains to bind the mischief of government and to protect the liberties endowed to us by our Creator.”
We know that no man can change America if America does not want to be changed. But a man seeking divine guidance can move mountains. We pray you will carefully and prayerfully consider each candidate. Once you do, we believe you will agree that Ted Cruz will be the best choice for President of the United States of America. You can find his position on various issues at tedcruz.org/issues.
May God restore and bless the USA.

P.S. John Adams said, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
Endorsement for Cruz
